Oil-free piston air, 1 to 15 HP
Powerex OPS and OPT pumps are oil-less reciprocating piston air ends. An oil-less composite piston slides within a low-friction, wear-resistant aluminum cylinder, compressing air on the upstroke, and the discharge air is cooled by an air-to-air aftercooler.
OPS models (1 to 3 HP) are single stage; OPT models (5 to 15 HP) are two stage with an air-cooled intercooler. The finned cylinder is cooled by flywheel fan blades, plus a dedicated fan from 2 HP up. Sealed bearings, a grease-filled wrist pin, head unloaders and corrosion-resistant construction round it out.
